Welcome to the new Homepage of Transfiguration Lutheran Church!        

Transfiguration Lutheran Church has been serving the people of New York City for nearly 90 years!  We are located in the historic area of Harlem between 5th Avenue and Lenox, around the corner from Sylvia's "World Famous" Soul Food  Restaurant.                    

Our Regular Sunday Service begins each week at 10:30 AM.  Presently, Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Our Sunday Services are a unique blend of the historic liturgy of the Lutheran Church with a strong touch of soul that defines the unique culture of the Harlem community.  Every Sunday features a special musical presentation from one of our choirs or a soloist.

Transfiguration is easily located by Subway - take the 125th Street stop on the 2 or 3 red subway line.  Driving to Transfiguration is easy when you take the Manhattan branch of the RFK Triborough Bridge.  Bear right after the toll and make a left onto 126th Street.  Transfiguration is also blessed with a small Parking Lot.
